Kyou Fujibayashi 1/8 (Kotobukiya)

Kyou was at first only available as a resin kit in March 2005 and then released as a PVC model six months later , in september . That’s when i got her . She was re-released in september 2007 , for the passage of the Clannad to the animated version .
Sadly she wasn’t redone for the second release so we got a classical Kotobukiya feel , as nothing awesome , pure classic sculpt and basic painting . Still , for a 2005 figure , she’s quite good . But it’s the same than for Air and Kanon , i think we didn’t get any figure as good as the shows … Kyou is normally very energic and funny but no , we get her in a sitting pose , looking tired … i’m sorry , this is not the Kyou we know and love …
The next Key game to go to the anime treatement seems like to get better figures this time around . I guess we’ll have to wait and see . Anyway , as for this photoshot , i tried new settings on the DSLR and a new background . I love a lot the results so prepare to see it a lot ^^ .

If you’d asked me what I thought about a vibrant green background for figure shoots I would’ve asked what you’re smokin. But seeing it, looks great! ^_^
It’s too bad the figure doesn’t capture the spirit of the character (which I’ll your word for… CLANNAD is still waiting on my shelf and I won’t let myself watch the anime ’til I finish the game completely ^^;). That’s always something I value when choosing figures from series I’m familiar with. Regardless, wouldn’t regret having Kyou in my collection ^_^

Never played the game , i’m waiting for the english version (being done by some people ^^)
But i loved the anime , but not as much as Kanon
And yes i love to do things differently so i tried that strange background ^^

As much as I tried looking at the figure, the background is too bright and it’s ruining my focus. I like when ppl try out new things but sometimes they don’t always work.
Nice figure but I gave her a miss because she doesn’t look energetic compared from the her from the series.

like the green background. as for the figure, I think Kyou should have a more energetic pose like riding the bike.

I don’t find these Clannad figures very amusing, I think they just made these to sell when the movie came out. They should had done more work on them.

I sooo agree with you … it was easy to make good figures from the Clannad show … but they missed all the characters …
