Another great work from Kotobukiya , it’s really nice to see them working that hard , before they were making no always great job , especially on the painting , now it’s like they’re getting better and better each time . The paint work , sculpt and pose on this one is juste nice . Nothing special to say but it’s way better than their past work with Key’s characters , like Kanon and Clannad … So if you’re a Rin fan , you can’t miss buying that one :)

More under the cut

    Love the scary cat face. ^^
    The lighting looks bright than usual.
    Indeed, Koto figures are getting better. ^^

    Kotobukiya sure makes progress (fortunately!), but I am still not really into their very own style. Kotobukiya anime figures are easily recognisable, exactly like GSC ones are.
    So, I hope Rin will have the Max/GSC treatment, like Ayu and Makoto had, since I prefer their way to carve bishoujo faces ^^;
    Besides, I ordered Nono… so there are some exception, but maybe because it is not the same scale. Like for latest Misato and Rei… but somehow, all 1/8 Kotobukiya figures still look “poor”. Just a personal thought, sorry ^^;

    The funny thing with your pictures is that I tend to incline my head in the same direction Rin is going to… magic of dynamism hehe ^^

    You did manage to get her after all! Nice! ^^b

    As with lu-k, I do think Kotobukiya has a somewhat distinct style and does pale in comparison to the major manufacturers. Though I tend to buy a whole lot of Kotobukiya characters since they seem to pick up the characters that I really enjoy. And I don’t think Koto can get any worse than Solid Works stuff, so it’s safe to stick with them at least ^^;

    But Koto has really improved a fair amount, which is great considering their prices are rising too ^^;

    Rin always reminded me of Kyonko… ><

    I wanted to see if I could possibly get this, but it was sold out on Hobby Search.

    She’s one of the reasons that I want to play Little Busters.

    @James: Given that KyoAni has animated all the big Key games, this will probably be animated too. :D I expect it to be out… next fall maybe?

    You could always try using AGTH and a machine translation, but then again, it probably won’t make things better.

    I’ve download the Little Busters trial version in english. She is a great character, not a stereotypic fighting girl.
    I don’t like the Key’s chara design on Kanon, Air and Clannad,on this game it’s look better ^_^

    Really nice figure <3 Simple. I love the skirt XD

    @ NancyMitsuki : I do like Air and Kanon design a lot ;)

    But i do agree that the chara design of Little Busters is better :)

    I have the game but in japanese so i can’t really play it :’( . Sad that such great games doesn’t exist in english version … :(

    The reason you probably like the design is they used a different artist this time for the girls. I still like the design for the guys in little busters; same artist. I like the style for the guys, or maybe its just the writing.
