Gwendolyn 1/5 (E2046) review
By James. Filed in Figures Reviews |Tags: Gathering, Gwendoline
More pics under the cut :
Here’s the beautiful valkyrie from Odin Sphere , Gwendolyn . She was surely my most awaited figure this year and she’s by far my favorite ever .
Sadly my pics are not as good as her beauty and she’s more awesome in real . And she’s BIG , with her 1/5 scale she’s even more big than the 1/4 Freeing bunnies . And it’s because of the best part of this girl , her WINGS . They are so awesome to look at , with the gradiant colors and all , so beautiful .
This is my third Gathering from E2046 and the work on this one is flawless . Even the best sculpted and painted PVC from Alter can’t be as good looking as this one . The team at E2046 did a great job and i’m more than happy . The details on the armor parts are just impressive and the hair is perfectly done too . I can easily say that the Gwendolyn from Alter won’t be as good as this one . But i know , it’s not the same , but still , just awesome ^^ .
If you ever played Odin Sphere or if you like the character , don’t ever hesitate to buy Gwendolyn , she’s worth the money and she’s gonna be the star in your collection . Best figure EVER . End of story .
Go take a look at E2046 , lots of awesome stuff and please give Gwendolyn a home ![]()

You really changed my opinion about E2046 with your figure reviews.I always thought of them of as cheap recasters.I was absolutely wrong. They did once again an astounding job and i have to say they know their work for sure.
1/5 is a MAD scale.About how many cm is her wing lenght??
I like the glowing light effect in latter your pictures. How did you do that?

@ meronpan : play it , it’s awesome !
@ Blowfish : i just put a little yellow lamp not far from the figure , that’s all ^^ . I didn’t use any ligh for the Gwendo shot , only the yellow lamp for some pics . It’s the first shoot i do without any light and now i’ll always do that , i can’t bother to use lamp and reflector at all ^^
And oh you’re right , i forgot to say about the size , i’ll edit it later . From one wing to the other one , it’s like 44 cm ^^
And E2046 are awesome , even better than official resins … this Gwendo is flawless
Thanks you two

Absolutely gorgeous. The wings are the stand out of her. I’m checking out their catelogue already to see what’s really tempting me.
I like how u adjusted the lighting with for one of the wings.
Question: do they pre-paint it and send it out to u in pieces or as an actual figure already constructed?

I have the game but I did not play it. Her wings look beautiful indeed. Not interested in getting her or playing the game though.

Ohhhhh, mais quelle beauté!!! Vraiment de beaux arrivages en ce moment mon Pitaaaaa!!
J’adore les ailes de la demoiselle et leur effet de transparence.
Tes dernières photos avec l’effet de lumière sont magiques

@ Kate : yes i love her wings SO much !
@ optic : some pieces are separated from the body , for Gwendo it was the 4 wings and a leg . It’s a security so the figure don’t break in the shipping process
@ Saku : yes i love big scale figures and you love scary Saber :p ^^
@ Panther : you should play the game , it’s great ! (but hard ^^)
@ Lyli : t’es chou , merci
@ Rin : yes the details are quite amazing ^^
@ NancyMitsuki : Thank you
i like that name a lot too
and yes the wings are just great , i can’t stop looking at her (L)

this figure is very nice. better than the upcoming Alter version a lot. just checked the price, about 150 dollars; I would really like to have one, but it is too pricey . . . I will go for the Alter PVC instead.

Yes Alter’s one is going to be nice too
Resin is always lots of money … but sadly not all resin kits are released as PVC later
