Kanu China Dress Ver. 1/6 WF Limited (Griffon)

Today i got my first Ikkitousen figure , and it’s the beautiful Kanu . She stand at a good 31 cm (to the weapon) and 1/6 scale . It’s my first figure by Griffon and i was kinda disapointed when i saw the painting and the overal quality . It’s really not as good as Alter’s or Max Factory’s work and when i see that , i don’t really understand why Griffon is always pushing back the release date of figures if the quality is not becoming better .
Still , it’s not that bad , the weapon is nicely detailed , the painting on the dress is ok and the base is typical Griffon , with the metal plate and the name on it . And of course , the pose is really nice and the overal look of this Kanu is great . I love the flowing hair , even if they’re not made the way they should be .
There is a lots of Kanu figures out there (Kumo made a great post about that here ) , it’s surely the most represented character in the figure market (with Asuka and Rei from Evangelion) so if you’re a fan of her , you have to choose carefully which one you pick . My opinion is to pick the one by Alter first , as the quality is just awesome , then you can look for this one by Griffon , as the quality is still correct and the pose is awesome .
But i really hope Griffon is going to do better quality wise , and i hope they’re going to try to stop delaying and changing their release dates , i’m still waiting for the Bikini Shana , she got delayed from June to October …

Hehe so youve finally fallen prey to Ikki Tousen^^
I love the Detail on her spear.Its the best ive seen so far.And ive seen alot of Kanu figures.the wine red glossy color on the dress looks good too.
Well the painting may not be the best but i dont think that you really expected alter-wise quality.
Is there a metalpole in her leg or how is she supposed to be stopped from leaning?
i somehow prefer the figures from the smaller manufacturers.Everybody owns the ones from Alter,GSC,MF etc.The little imperfections gives them a nice little touch.
After im finished with my last post about my first figures im getting back to my other batch of Ikki figures^^

I’m not sure about a metalpole but i guess the leg is made of ABS so it should be fine .
I agree with you about the smaller manufacturers , but i can’t call Griffon a small manufacturer , that’s why i’m hard with them , i know they can do better
Can’t wait to see more Ikki figures ^^

Her china dress looks so shiny/glossy O_O. Her spear is really detail. I hope it won’t have leaning problems in the future. As far as painting goes, it looks ok. Can’t really compare to alter but it’s still good. Griffon’s base is always nice as usual ^^
I guess it’s about time you fell into Ikki Tousen fever. My time has yet to come since I don’t have any Ikki Tousen figures ^^;

as mentioned the spear looks pretty dang good, seems like her face is a little plain though? …and i wish the hair was a darker shade of blue…
be that as it may, if i had money to burn i’d probably have at least 5 kanu figures, including this one ^_^

Her dress and her weapon makes this figure a worthy buy but the face is a disappointment. Looks kinda bland and lifeless.
Great shoot. I thought it worked well with the red bg.
Hmmm, looking at her is tempting me to get the Kanu figma. Could this be the start in luving Ikkitousen? xD

This one seems more balanced than the blue one O.o. The body is simply amazing but her face is not Kan’U, she’s smiling to much

I agree about the face , it’s surely the less impressive part of the figure . But the pose and overall aspect is still great so it’s kinda fine
