Shana bikini 1/7 (Griffon) review

Finally the so late Shana by Griffon is here . The original release date was june and she got pushed back so many times that i can’t believe she’s here … Usually when figures are pushed back for so much time , it’s to makes improvements on it , to make it looks better . Well i guess people at Griffon’s doesn’t thinks the same …

As you can see with the pics , she does not look like the proto , but i can’t exactly say what is different . Maybe it’s just the lightning or the angle , but well … five months late for what ? Can’t see the improvements …
Anyway it’s not all that bad , as for a Griffon figure , she’s really nicely made . The painting is great and the overall quality is maybe even better than the Max Factory one . Yes , really . So this Shana is one of the best Shana out there (quality wise maybe the best) but we can’t say we have lots of awesome choices …
The base is , like always with Griffon , the black base with the metal plate on it … but this time , it looks totally out of place … A beach base (or even better , a flame theme base) would have been much better ! (and they had time to change it …)
But all is not that bad , this Shana is nearly perfect quality wise , the pose is cute , the hair looks awesome and it’s sexy enough to please all the Shana fans out there .
For Shana fans : 7.5/10
For non Shana fans : 6/10
Technical note : 8.5/10
An impressive looking Shana , perfectly sculted and painted but not everyone is going to love the overall look . The black base is not a good point this time .

I like flaming hair, but I didn’t get this Shana as she looks a bit too young here.
It was only until I read from foo-bar-baz I knew that the bikini is actually cast-offable. I knew that the shorts can be taken off, but being able to take off her top was not what I’ve expected…

The hair adds a really nice artistic touch, but otherwise to that, I think I’ll pass, though I’m not exactly sure why. Maybe it’s as Q said; she’s a bit on the loli side, even for Shana. …Not that that’s really stopped me before >_>

Lol you sound pissed at the “improvements” and the “delay” .personally, if i see a fig being delayed, i’ll just cancel it – isn’t worth the time and well there might be other versions which is better!
i don’t really like this shana by griffon, i still prefer the one by max factory X). lol

I got her recently too!!!
I do have to say she is the best or one of the best Shana figures out there right now!!!

She looks pretty good qualitywise but im no fan of shana and i dont really like the designchoice for her hair (even tough its well executed)
Shes Castoff?Like completly?I didnt expect that.Im used that Ikki Tousen figures get that treatment but Shana…^^;

I agree that this sculpt is very nice. I prefer this over the Max Factory CM. She actually looks small given the proportions (of course, since this was based after the anime’s style)
Call me overly technical, but Shana seems hardly ever this casual in blazing hair & eyes mode :J
That aside, I kind of feel insulted when I see name tags on bases in the trophy style, but that might just be me.

The hair is weird, it looks like jelly, the feet seem to be a bit large but I like the eyes, so full of color and vivid

I like her eyes, and her hair looks reflective and cool. A lot of Shana figures are like that, which is neat.

There’s only one shana that I like and it is indeed the Max one. Yes, feel free and send me the hate mail.
I’m not a fan of Griffion work and design but ur pictures make her look like a worthy buy.
That black base is huge. It takes up a lot of free space?
My next shana is the figma one. =o

and the necklace made of copper wire-like material looks easily broken (?)

J’aime vraiment le rendu de ses cheveux; cette transparence et la couleur “feu” c’est superbe. Dommage que le visage n’est plus tout à fait identique au proto mais elle reste belle malgré tout.

a tad too loli for me to be in that pose/outfit, but regardless she looks nice. it is a shame about the base, doesn’t add to the figure at all and makes things feel a little stale.
when i first saw that style hair in the mf release i didn’t like it at first, but i must say it’s grown on me. gwah, that reminds me i still don’t have a shana figure in my collection ;_; (though i think i have the nendoroids on order…)

i got the figure 2 but i got problems to get her top off and dont know how to. I would be happy if u could help me or give me pics. Ye ofc in the back you need to do the two things off but what then? how to get the top off the body? removing the head or what? thanks !!!

To tell you the truth , i didn’t try removing her top , as it seems not easy to do .
Usually when the top are possible cast off , you have to remove the head so my guess is the same with Shana
Sorry for not being able to help you but i’m too scared to try and break my Shana so you’re alone with that ^^
