Hinagiku Katsura swimsuit version 1/6 (Kotobukiya) review

Here’s my first biased review , as this figure is all i love (loli + swimsuit + 1/6 + sexy pose) , but i’ll try my best to still give a fair rating .
Like you surely all know , i’m always quite harsh with Kotobukiya and i always rant about the way they sometimes make great figures , then some with bad overall quality . This time i guess they did this figure to ask for forgiveness ^^ .
Hinagiku is a character from the manga/anime “Hayate No Gotoku” and is represented here in swimsuit . She stands at a good 24 cm (26 with the base !) and 1/6 scale .
She is posing in a cute and sexy pose , her left hand pushing her hair . For once , i think that for a bikini figure , they did great with the pose .
The paint on her is really nicely done , the shading on her hair looks good , there is no shading on her body because her skin is kinda white (i love girls with white skin) but her body is perfectly molded , there’s no paint marks or scratchs on it . The paint job on the bikini is flawless too and it’s detailled (as a bikini can be) . Her hair is really beautiful and her nails are all painted (pink) . Her face is surely the best part , as i think her expression is really sweet and her big green eyes are absolutly stunning ! Really different from the kind of eyes we usually see on Koto’s figures .
Overall a really nice figure quality wise (and a definite improvement for Kotobukiya) with a nice pose , great painting job , stunning colors and for once , a nice base . The base is a simple translucent pink colored base but the color goes so well with Hinagiku’s hair , it’s really the best base they could choose , it’s like the base is part of the figure , not something added and that’s what is missing usually on lots of other figures …
Cute and sweet girl in a sexy pose , with beautiful green eyes and long sexy legs , that’s what this Hinagiku is . And the big size and nice base is making things even better .
Great job from Kotobukiya , they made here the ultimate bikini figure and the best loli ever . It’s my favorite figure ever (yeah , i told you this review was biased and that i was a big lolis/swimsuit fanboy) and for once , the painting and overall quality is high enough to not spoil the attractiveness of the figure .
8.5/10 (7/10 if you hate swimsuit figures)

grats on over 40k hits, I need to find a counter that isn’t worthless… I’ve had 3 different counters and they all failed. anyways Hinagiku looks gorgeous! I especially like how even her toes are detailed. She’s one of my favorite characters from Hayate no Gotoku ^^

Would you believe it … I actually have no figures in swimsuit! o_o … Swimsuits ain’t exactly my preferred outfit for figures. But this Hinagiku figure looks so good!
There is also Nagi and Ayumu coming up… you collecting them all? God … I am so tempted to get them all …. I really think they will look fantastic together.

, really one of my types of figures. Kotobukiya quality seems to be improving indeed but damn 24cm tall??? She’s almost the size of PG Strike XD, she’s one of those figures that almost could be considered a godzilla

Okay, I regret it. She looks stunning and sexy but I might not say the same thing when I get Nagi in my hands. Yes, I have her on preorder and most likely won’t be canceling her because she is my favourite (loli) character. xD

I think it’s probably my monitor, but the second set makes her skin look almost zombie gray-ish and other colors all weird… @_@

Aww, it seems my comment got eaten because I had typed less-than-3 right after “Hinagiku” (escaping the less-than sign for HTML failed, maybe)
Anyhow, I said that perhaps the violet background overpowers the pink in the figure and therefore your eyes might be tired to distinguish the red in her skintone, so that may be why she appears pale.
Other than that, this figure looks great and an exception to what I’ve read about Kotobukiya.
Personally, I disqualify the figure because she looks younger than my idea of what she should be, and she would never pose like that unless candid and alone :>

Une jolie demoiselle, quoi qu’un peu simple. Par contre, pour une fois, il semble que cette figurine de Kotobukiya ait de très très belles couleurs (assez pétantes)

Présent pour les lolis et le swimsuit me plait de plus en plus ^^” et 1/6, c’est la meilleure échelle possible je pense

Mais Ilya est meilleure
Elle est chouette, ça me désole d’autant plus que je ne pourrais pas faire la série et que Nagi s’annonce très très chouette

My,my…I hope Koto will deliver quality as great as this with Kanzaki Kaori next month.I absolutely love the details like the wrinkles on her bikini.Makes it look alot more plastic.
Im a bit displeased with my GSC Iori Minase.Her Bikini looks really flat compared to this one

I always ignored Kotobukiya’s craftmanship and always chucked it out as a learning experience for them. As of late, they have really grown leaps and bounds in terms of quality for their figures. I’m really impressed with more of the recent figures coming out and their amazing ArtFX line, so I am not against to buying any Kotobukiya figures. They tend to be win for me lately.
That would explain the price – she is of 1/6 scale. At first, I couldn’t justify the price for a cute, but otherwise simplistic figure even though she was very cute and I feel like grouping all three together. Now, I feel much better about getting her.

i haven’t made it past the first volume of the manga yet… am i missing out on a lot? ^^;;; very nice, very sexay… i think i may have to give kotobukiya another chance
though actually i already have kanzaki kaori on order, so technically they already have another chance ^^;
usually i’m not too big on the loli characters, nor swimsuit figures, but hinagiku sure makes me reconsider ^_^

hmm just realized that this one is 1/6, not 1/8, 26 cm is quite tall :O
I want normal hinagiku instead of bikini hinagiku, but this one is quite nice, dfc + loli ftw

Wow.
Kotobukiya is lashing out good figures recently. Though I know nothing about the character (and the anime), she seems to look so much younger here than in the anime from what I’ve seen in screenshots.
But still, the figure is pretty eye-drawingl; good sculpture, no flaws, sexy pose, and the legs are pretty long for such loli body. Haha I can see how Hinagiku is now your dream loli there.
And last but not least, grats on your new milestone!
