Nanako Sakura 1/8 (Megahouse) review

Here’s the review of Nanako Sakura , from the soon to be release eroge “Sakura Sakura” . This cute 1/8 figure being made by Megahouse , i had little doubt she would be a nice buy so i didn’t hesitate to preorder her . The proto pics were good so how nice is the retail version ? It’s what we’re going to see now .

Standing on her knees , Sakura is depicted with an expression that could be seen like “innocent” or “cute” , but knowing she’s from an eroge , i guess it’s safe saying that she’s more like provocative . When lots of (especialy swimsuit ones) figures are in the same kneeling pose , Sakura is different in the way that her pose feels “alive” , more dynamic and the way her hair is sculpted is sure helping it . And speaking of the hair , it’s surely what stand out the most in this figure , her pink slighty curled hair is looking quite great , giving a nice feeling to an already cute figure .

Megahouse is know to be a solid manufacturer , and all the figures from them are always nicely painted and sculpted , with no apparent flaws , and this Sakura , being in the “Brilliant Stage series” , is a fine exemple of what they can do . The overall look is good , with nice colors and the painting is nicely done , with shading on her hair , legs and clothes . One or two little dots of paint can be found at some parts but you have to be really near to see them .

So Sakura is a nice looking figure and people at Megahouse did a fine job , she does look like her 2D rendition and her provocative yet cute face is sure to charm lots of people . The only part than maybe going to stop some is the mouth , the way it is painted looks maybe a little strange . But it’s a minor grip and i’m fine with it . The cast off option is not really needed , and doesn’t add anything to the figure .

(The limited edition named “Platonic Side” is the one to get if you want to see more of Sakura and the mouth on this one seems nicer . I’ll be buying the Platonic Side version maybe soon , so stay tune for another review)

Overall a nice figure to add to any collection . Sakura is maybe my favorite girl from an eroge , love her design so i’m glad to have her .

Love your photography skillz man,My favorite would have to be the last background pic really brings out her colors and cool effect on the very last shot applaud

AH! Ma mienne est partie que lundi en SAL, du coup, tes photos me font baver. C’est pas gentil ça :’(

Sinon j’aime beaucoup la deuxième “série” sur fond rose. Il en émane une certaine chaleur, une genre de sensations chaleureuse, je saurai pas bien l’expliquer. Et aussi la série sur fond blanc car ça fait vraiment ressortir la couleur des yeux de Sakura.

I get the feeling she is gonna do a strip show using the equipment she’s provided.
Nevertheless, she is a really nice figure and I just love her seductive pose. ^^
But still, too sexy in my collection. She’s gonna outcast my entire collection if I get her.

Oh, mais voici Sakura !! quoique, pas vraiment étonnant, swimsuit + eroge + rose = @ Pita house x3

Elle est très jolie, et il fut un temps où je l’avais en préco, mais bon, l’écureuil n’étant pas vraiment d’accord…

J’aime beaucoup le mouvement de ses cheveux, par contre va savoir pourquoi, je préfère l’expression qu’elle affiche sur la version Platonic (humpf, que Pita-ecchi va pitêtre prendre… )

Moi qui d’habitude préfère tes photos sur fond blanc, ici, celles sur fond rose ont ma préférence.

Merci pour les petites précisions, j’essaierai de faire ça une fois que j’aurai acheté les spots, et je testerai. Mais je préfère vraiment le rendu avec les spots tournés vers la fig. Bref, j’ai pas encore trouvé le style de photos que je veux faire, mais ça serait plus dans ce genre chaleureux et tout. Bien que les premières montrent les “vraies couleurs”.

wish megahouse would release more stuff from series i need figures from! love their stuff, but don’t really have too much from them yet.

Figure releases before the eroge? Interesting way to promote the eroge ^^;

The hair surely looks nice. The colour is not that right-on-your-face kind of pink, but a mild one with a nice touch to it~
