Unity May 1/8 (Good Smile) review

Here’s the second figure from the eroge “Unity Marriage” , the colorful May . After a nice Yuno but with a cast off that i didn’t like much and a overall quality not as good (some little seamlines and a painting nor perfect) as older Good Smile figures , i was really waiting for this one , to see if Good Smile can get back in the top three figures maker . And it’s a yes .
If you look at May , you can easily compare her at Yami : same one feet pose , same expression and same dynamic pose . But people at Good Smile didn’t made her as good as Yami but better , thanks to the awesome colors on the “kimono wings” .
The painting is very solid and the colors used are well chosen . The flowers and the gradient colors used on the clothes looks beautiful to looks at (thanks to the nice shading) . May stands on the base despite the scary pose , with the help os a metal bar that goes into her foot . I have to say that i’m not too sure about her never falling , i mean it looks ok yes but i guess it’s wait and see …
Overall May is a really beautiful figure , with a great pose and beautiful colors , with no real flaw . Maybe her face is too neutral and misses a stronger expression but i think it’s good that way . And you can choose to expose her without the hat of course (but she looks better with) . So yes , even if you didn’t buy Yuno , i can only say that you need this one , she’s worth it .
9.3/10 : A great looking girl with awesome colors . Another must buy if you like the character design .

Great review! May is gorgeous … I am so in love with her. Figures with beautiful costume are sure win for me. Am really glad to know she is the same as the prototype. Hmmm …. I think I really need to find space for her … *ponders how to rearrange figures* …. ^^

Je veux mourir
J’avais pris Yuno pour aller avec elle, mais finalement, elle ne me plait pas tant que ça… Et j’ai annulé May (Mei ? )…
Ses habits sont vraiment chouettes… Par contre je n’aime pas ses jambes brillantes, comme celles de Yuno (c’est dû à l’ABS ? C’est ma seule figurine qui a un truc du genre et je ne trouve pas ça très esthétique… ça fait vraiment “jouet” bas de gamme.).
Bref, elle a l’air jolie, mais j’ai pas de sous et je veux mourir. En plus tes photos sont vraiment très chouettes (Pas toujours le cas sur tes fonds blancs je trouve
) et je ne t’aime plus

Caziro tu n’es qu’un râleur je trouve ^^. J’aime beaucoup ces photos là qui m’ont presque donné envie de posséder la figurine. Je dis presque, car je préfère la voir en vrai. Étant donné que je voulais Yuno et qu’après l’avoir vu, je n’ai pas regretté mon annulation. Mais elle est plus classe, et le dégradé et détails semblent mieux ici. En plus originale (alors que Yuno me rappelait d’autres figurines). Bref, great job! T’es chou!

I often wonder how you rate the figures up to decimal places ^^;
But back to the topic, I too was surprised when I saw how the figure ‘stands’ on one metal pole. It does look worrying indeed, but I hope they’ve done the job right. The flower patterns look really crisp and clear (and pleasant) to look at, as well as the wing-like clothings there, which makes it very dynamic yet stylish. But I kinda find her back a little odd looking though :\

La peinture sur les jambes n’est rien d’autre que de la peinture brillante (glossy) et c’est de plus en plus utilisée (genre sur la prochaine gamme Haruhi) . La peinture sur Yuno etait de moins bonne qualitée , sur May c’est parfait .
Sinon a la place de me dire maintenant que les photos sur fond blanc ne te plaisent pas , tu devrais plutot le dire sur les reviews concernées , que je puisse voir ce qui ne va pas et essayer d’eviter de refaire
Tu ne m’aime plus ? Je demande le divorce et la garde des figurines !

Suis pas sûre mais il me semble que sur le proto, elle avait justement une expression plus affirmée… M’enfin bon, les couleurs sont une pure merveille, et contrairement à Caziro, j’ai annulé Yuno mais conservé May, et tu ne fais que confirmer mon choix :3

Cette figurine est magnifique!!!! J’adore ses couleurs (dégradé de rose/violet) et sa cape est top. Elle a vraiment tout pour me plaire. Malheureusement, je n’ai plus de sous …

Love your sharp photos as always!
Just got mine unboxed a while ago *need to shoot mine later* and was surprised about the overall size of this figure once her cape was attached! Really, this figure looks much better in 3D. It’s a bit difficult to express how cool she is with just photos. Perhaps we should start making 3D photos now?

It’s the beautiful colours and it’s dynamic design is very appealing. I had a slight urge to grab when I saw her available.
