Excellent Model Core Ranka Lee N.A Version (MegaHouse) review

And here’s finally the Ranka from MegaHouse . As the first (and for now) only non limited Ranka available on the market , she was expected by the fans a lot . And no , she won’t disapointed anyone , but i don’t understand MegaHouse on this one … Look at the proto shots , her face was off and she was looking quite bad with less detailed eyes and a strange mouth . Now look at the retail version , her face looks more accurate and is way cuter . That’s a good thing , so what’s the problem ? Well problem is , even on the box the pics are from the proto version , yes on the box of the ACTUAL retail version … What is the point of doing this ? They don’t want to sell this figure or what ?
But anyway , the good things is , she’s better than the proto shots and actually looks like Ranka (minus the hair color , you have to get the very hard to find limited edition to get that right) . It’s nice to see that the people at MegaHouse did correct her face , i preordered her because she was the only Ranka available but now i’m glad i did . She is surely the best Ranka for now , with a really nice pose , nice colors and a great face . And the base is quite good .
8.5/10 A great Ranka figure , with a really cute face and nicely detailed eyes . Her body is very detailed too , with a nice sculpt and a sweet pose . And she is cast off , i know you like it .

Yeah I kinda see what you mean about the prototype and yes the final version is much better than the proto, normally it’s the other way around, thankfully everything turned out for the better, let’s hope the same happens with Sheryl (but she looks great already). I think I remember seeing somewhere on the web this same figure but with her real colors, perhaps it was a custom made…can’t remember correctly.
There is one great thing about this figure, if you have a macro lens than use it to its full potential and take photos of certain parts of her body like nude photography, she’s great for it, with a nice front lighting and then turned into black & white the pictures would become gorgeous (damn I’m drooling just thinking about those possible pictures)

The normal color version is the limited edition (only 1000) and is really hard to get
And sadly i still don’t have a macro lens , only my telezoom so macro pictures are out of the question :’(

Comme je te l’ai déjà dis chou, j’aime beaucoup cette série de photos, qui me ferait presque acheter, dès maintenant la figurine, si j’avais des sous à dépenser. Comme ce n’est pas le cas, je vais me plaindre un peu, et attendre la fin de la Japan Expo. Sait-on jamais, il me restera peut-être quelques sous de mon budget pour acheter d’autres figurines au Japon. Si tel est le cas, Ranka fera partie de ces figurines là, car elle est vraiment adorable, bien réalisée et tout et tout. Dommage, qu’elle ne soit pas fidèle au personnage de base (même si c’est présent dans l’anime) car les cheveux jaunes, c’est tout de même un peu flashy ^^”. Éditions limitées de merde, j’espère qu’on aura, un jour, une vraie belle figurine de la demoiselle, car pour l’instant, on n’est guère lotie..

How ironic is that the normal hair is the limited version of this figure. Need to get used to her blonde hair.
When I saw her top being undone, I kinda suspect her having a possibility of castoff, and she does… And to my bigger suprise she has stars?! o_O
But overall this figure looks nice with no noticeable seam lines (if any), and the texture looks right judging from the lighting there. Nice photoshoot (as usual!)

Wait, did U put the stars or they are they as part of the design? Yeah, I know, ur laughing right? LOL
A very nice figure indeed but something about the pose disturbs me and I can’t put my finger into what. Hmmm….
I have a feeling GSC is in the works in making one so I will just wait. ^^

I expect mine to arrive at home soon. I am not a fan of Ranka, but this figure that I find beautiful and well done, perfectly complement my collection of Messiah Valkyrie. All will take place in my window.

Wow, even those odd colours are growing on me… There’s just one last thing I was wondering about, though: do her toes look chubby? I really can’t tell.

The Proto Shot story is actually quite weird. No Idea why they would do something like this.

God knows when how far in advance they printed the figures boxes.I can only imagine that they printed them months in advance and didnt feel like stomping them in
