Ameri gets 4.5 Exelica out of 5
The good: – nice colors, good skin tone and beautiful painted eyes – exactly like the proto shots, even better – overall quality quite high (and that’s incredible from Orchid Seed)
The bad: – the original artwork was way more cute – is more like a 1/10 than a 1/8
I usually stay away from Orchid Seed, as their figures are always a disappointement. The retail version is always different and the painting is sloppy and far from, let’s say Alter or Max Factory. But with Ameri, they did it right. I mean, it’s the same as the proto shots, the beautiful colors are here and there is no paint problems anywhere. I would even say that it looks like an Alter figure. Yeah she’s that good. Only the hands and the gun could have been better but it’s a minor grip.
If you love cute and sexy girls, you won’t regret buying this one. Just don’t be sad when you’ll open her box, she is really tiny …

Lovely shots, you added some much needed colour to the pictures. I really feel like I should have worked more on mine, between Ashlotte’s comment on my site and your photo’s it really looks like I dropped the ball big time.
I really don’t like how Minheru sculpted Ameri’s face, it doesn’t seem like Ameri at all in this respect. And some of the details seem to be poorly conceived, like the panties and how they ‘travel’ behind the legs or rather don’t at all. Or her shirt as it disappears behind her right arm, literally isn’t there. It feels cheaply done in this respect.
I don’t feel like Ameri gives off Alter quality in the least, she’s too average in every way. But she is a cute figure despite it all.

Yeah, well i still think you’re harsh with her ^^
I only review the technical aspect of figures, and you review more the character, and that’s how i do understand your disappointement. I did write that the figures is not like the artwork and that’s why you don’t like her much. In my opinion, it’s a minor grip, as the proto shots were already different from the artwork. The retail version is exactly like the figure i preordered so it’s perfect for me.
I’ll add that i didn’t see the show so i couldn’t compare.
So i’m kinda happy our opinions differs this time, as i think our two reviews completes in some way
Btw i do think your pics of her are fine, besides, it’s always harder to do pics when you’re not happy with a figure … and your pics shows way more details than mine

Une mignonne petite perverse en figurine tu nous présentes là.
Tes reviews se faisaient rares ces derniers temps. Cependant, tu n’as pas perdu le coup de mains, tes photos sont toujours aussi jolies.
Comme d’habitude, je préfère les photos sur fond blanc, c’est là où les couleurs sont les plus réalistes et les plus éclatantes.

Pour le personnage, elle a une bonne bouille après le pourquoi de cette pose avec la culotte baissée :/ C’est moyen …. Mais bon la qualité est là et c’est le plus important. Quand je la vois, ça me donne envie de prendre Sasami. J’aime bien ces persos aux cheveux violets ^_^

Excellent photography! Noticed that two images of Ameri looked like they’s make a good 3D/stereo pair.. and they did. I placed them temporarily in my flickr ‘experimental’ folder. Please take a look and let me know of you will let me keep them there or, of you want the full-res versions. You should think about doing your photoshoots in stereo.. makes sharing so much more realistic.

Cette figurine m’a beaucoup tenté. Le seul défaut c’est qu’elle est quand même assez osée, avec sa petite culotte aux cuisses et la pointe de la queue qui est.. eux… pas trop à ça place x)
Par contre, j’aime beaucoup la chemise, le visage, les cheveux. Tout le reste quoi !
(les choses Kawaii, c’est le maaaaaaaaal ! T_T)
