Oki Futaba 1/6 (E2046/Gathering)
By James. Filed in Figures Pics | More under the cut:
This beautiful prepainted Oki Futaba is made by the people from E2046. There’s only 4 left, so if you want her, go now !
She’s really worth the price, really detailled and nicely painted. And the base is awesome, love the sand and all the shells !
Bonus pics:
So yeah, that’s all for today.
I’ll post a real review this week, as i should get my Tamaki 1/4 from Gift.
Take care all !

I’ve always feared these Gathering figures expecting their quality to be rather suspect. However this figure appears quite well done, except her eyes.
The different paint types used really helps out, the tones in her legs seem correct, the reflectivity of her swimsuit is a nice touch along with the flippers. Her base seems like something you’d find in a fishbowl, I wonder how well she’d due submerged, what effect would that have on her paint.
Still unsure of the quality/cost ratio involved with these though.

The Gathering from E2046 are the most beautiful figures from my collection
. And this one is the less nicely painted of the bunch. So the quality is quite high, especially for a price not too different than for PVC.
I do agree with you than the eyes could have been maybe better painted. But at a normal distance, you can’t see that.
I never thought about that, i don’t know if the paint would stay like this in water but i would say yes. It would looks quite nice with fishes and stuff ^^
Quality for the price is the best, at least that’s my opinion

It’s a shame the eyes came out so poorly. They were lovely in the images of the original resin kit. E2046 always seems to have trouble with eyes. Out of all the resins I’ve got from them, the eyes always end up being the parts that bother me most.
The rest of Oki Futuba is gorgeous! She’s visually striking, especially from a distance.

It’s the only figure i got from E2046 with not so great painting on the eyes, my others are spot on
But yeah she’s gorgeous either way, didn’t know the character but love her
