Ameri gets 4.5 Exelica out of 5

The good: – nice colors, good skin tone and beautiful painted eyes – exactly like the proto shots, even better – overall quality quite high (and that’s incredible from Orchid Seed)

The bad: – the original artwork was way more cute – is more like a 1/10 than a 1/8

I usually stay away from Orchid Seed, as their figures are always a disappointement. The retail version is always different and the painting is sloppy and far from, let’s say Alter or Max Factory. But with Ameri, they did it right. I mean, it’s the same as the proto shots, the beautiful colors are here and there is no paint problems anywhere. I would even say that it looks like an Alter figure. Yeah she’s that good. Only the hands and the gun could have been better but it’s a minor grip.

If you love cute and sexy girls, you won’t regret buying this one. Just don’t be sad when you’ll open her box, she is really tiny …

Sora gets four Exelica out of five.

The good: – awesome ABS hair, nicely detailled – looks exactly like the proto – i love the little cushion

The bad: Kotobukiya’s usual paint, kinda blank – no shading or at least nothing spectacular

No surprises there, it’s the usual Kotobukiya work at 1/6 scale, it’s nice and everything, but after the stunning Tamaki from Max Factory, it’s hard to be impressed by something from Koto. Still a nice buy for Sora fans, i should know, i am one.

Of course, Mercedes is getting five Exelica out of five.

The bad: – ??? do i really need to write something here?

It’s simple, this Mercedes from Alter is the new “champion” in the figure world, there is no PVC more polished, detailled and stunning than this one. The paint used is simply gorgeous and the retail version is as perfect as every figures should be. The only minor gripe would be her arbalest that looks like a toy close up, compared to all the rest that looks nearly “organic”.

If you only have money to buy one figure this year, don’t hesitate one second. Really, don’t. It’s the first time i see a retail figure as flawless and perfect as this one, there is no dot, scratch or any little mark on Mercedes. I’m simply impressed and i’m just going to be even more hard on GSC now.

Elwing gets 4.5 Exelica out of 5 (i really wanted to give her a 5 but the painting can still be better)

The good: – she looks like the proto shots – big, gracious and ultra sexy – the hair is detailled but still perfectly made without any defect – great use of gradiant colors on the clothes.

The bad: – the paint work is good on most parts but some sloppy painting there and there, if you looks closely you can even spot some little marks and defects on the “dress” – the paint used is not “vibrant” enough, as always with Kotobukiya.

Yay, for once no disappointement with a figure. Another 1/6 figure that prove my theory that Kotobukiya’s figures are not great when they’re 1/8 but they’re way better when they’re bigger. This Elwing is beautifuly sculpted and looks gorgeous. The paint job is sloppy at time but for the most part and at a normal distance, it looks awesome (and the nails are painted, pink). Gradiant colors looks great and the base color is beautiful. And you can’t really see with pics, but believe me, Elwing’s eyes looks amazing from close up (both pair yeah but i meant the upper ones ^-^).

A beautiful figure that you should buy if you like beautiful girls. And i know you all do.

Good: Great dynamic pose, base more detailled than usual, bigger than expected.

Bad: Control quality sux, some samples of Canaan are poorly painted at best. The hair is not looking too great, too bulky. Poor painting on the base, especially if you compare to the proto shots.

This Canaan is not a bad figure, mine is correct but i saw some very bad painted one out there. So another Good Smile figure, another lottery. Not as bad as the control quality for World is Mine but still really bad for Good Smile.

Canaan is getting three Exelica out of five.

And another Alter’s figure. Noumi is Alter’s first girl from the visual novel Little Busters. I’m a big fan of Key’s chara design so i was happy when Noumi was annonced from Alter. I nearly canceled her twice but i don’t regret not doing it at all. Noumi is really cute and this figure is full of happiness/cuteness. That’s why i choose her to do two sets of pics, the first one being finally a new entry in my “Girls and Flowers” serie, and the second set of pics are the usual review ones. Hope you’ll like the pics and that you will add this cute Noumi in your collection, she is definitely worth a grab !

This Noumi is a dynamic, sweet and lovely figure, with a bright expression on her face. You won’t find a better version of the character, Alter did a perfect job respecting the girl. She looks like she was just taken outside of the game, full of energy and with a cute smile on her face. And of course, the paint job is perfect and even if Noumi’s clothes are not special in any way, a big effort was made with her hair, it’s really detailled and it add a nice impression of movement. With her pose and the general flow of the figure, it looks like Noumi is jumping and i think that Alter is becoming better and better with the dynamic poses (and the one foot pose).

This is what i call a near perfection figure: dynamic pose nicely done with a real sense of flow, respects totally the original design of the game and the paint job and PVC quality is top notch.

And here’s another Ichiban Kuji limited figure , the cute and sexy Haruna .
Haruna looks stunning in her awesome looking dress and her pose is quite sweet . And it’s so nice to see Haruna with a big smile like that , she looks totally happy . It’s a nice change from the shy haruna from the show .

Banpresto did an ok work with this figure . The pose , colors and overall sculpt are all near perfection (for me) , it’s exactly the type of figures i would like to see more . No cast off or bikinis , but beautiful dress and elegant clothes . But sadly the painting is not as precise as better manufacturer like Alter or Max Factory and the finish touch is not that great . You can even see some seam lines here and there . But it’s not a big deal , as you can’t see those if you look at the figure normally . Besides , her face is stunning , with beautifully painted eyes and a big happy smile . So it’s all good .

A big (27 cm !) and stunning Haruna figure . Girls in beautiful dresses are what i like the most so i was not disapointed with her . If you like Haruna , it’s the one to get for sure . And did i say that she have awesome legs ? The painting is not perfect , but who cares , when a girl looks so happy , smiling just for you ?

Here’s the second girl from the swimsuits trio made by Kotobukiya . After a nice Hinagiku figure , Kotobukiya just released the sweet but spoiled girl Nagi and again , she’s quite a cutie . It’s strange that the people at Kotobukiya are making lots of not so great 1/8 figures , but very nice 1/6 ones (look at the Doa Venus series or Suzu …) .

Nagi is depicted kneeling in the “sand” (a translucent base) with a pink balloon helping her stand , while she points her right hand at us . This figure is surely not for the loli haters , but for a lolicon like me (yeah i know , i’m guilty , you can throw rocs at me) she’s really attractive (in a cute way …) because of her nice and dynamic pose . The way her hair is flowing in the wind and her big smile are sure helping an already sweet figure . Her bikini is cute too , with big stars on it (but oppai lovers won’t be happy , nothing to see there , DFC spotted) .

For those who already got Hinagiku , there is no surprise with Nagi , the painting is solid , with good colors and if you love your girls happy , you can order Nagi right now , as her face is just too cute .

8.5/10 A totally cute and sweet dynamic figure , with nice painting and no real flaws . But if you don’t like loli and if you’re searching for oppai , she’s definitely not for you .

And here’s the second figure from the Gekisou trio , the very cute Mikuru . I won’t make a full review , as there is no surprise if you already got Haruhi …

The retail version is , as always with Max Factory , exactly like the proto shots , so there’s no disapointement with that . The painting is well done , with lots of details everywhere and Mikuru’s pose is nice and sweet . Speaking of her pose , i know lots of people are complaining about her right leg , i’m sorry but i don’t really thing it’s a problem . Girls can easily do that pose (i know , i asked a friend to do it ^^) so i believe it’s all good . Personaly it’s my favorite Mikuru figure (with the Griffon version being second) so if you’re a Mikuru fan , you know what to do .

8.6/10 A great figure overall , with no flaws or anything . Surely the best Mikuru available for now .

Here’s another Gathering from E2046 . This beautiful girl in a pink dress is named Dip Mou and is an original character created by the team Ori at E2046 . I don’t have lots to say , as i’m totally speechless when i looks at her , she is just perfect ^^ . I mean with a great looking base , an awesome pose , some impressive clothes (the dress !) moving with the wind and stunning pink colors , and of course lots of painted details everywhere , can we really ask for more ?

Dip Mou is at a 1/6 scale (33 cm tall !) and she takes a lots of space but it’s totally worth it . As i said , the sculpt is great but the painting is flawless too , everything looks very good and the colors are well chosen everywhere . The hair is awesome too but so easy to break , you’ll need to be really carefull when touching it . Hopefully mine didn’t got hurt in the shipping process , thanks to E2046 well protected package . So i believe pics are sometimes better than a long speach and if i were to say more , it would be only my biased opinion so take a look for yourself and decide if yes or no you need to buy her . Still in preorder here : Dip Mou .

Overall another great job by E2046 and the best prepainted resin in my collection for sure . Totally in love with her .

9.6 : Awesome dynamic figure in a stunning pink dress and cute flowing hair . Oh and did i said she was standing on a beautiful stone like base ?
